Lesson Plan for ESE students in preparation for FCAT

My third grade class I have been interning with are taking the FCAT next week and to say they are anxious is an utter understatement. These kids are horrified of this test. But their teacher has been preparing them for this test since the first day. The following link is a really good and thorough example of how to convey the importance of going back into your passage to find evidence to answer their questions.

The teacher I am with does this with their grammar homework they must complete every night in order to reiterate the concept and make sure that they know that this skill is a must when it comes to comprehension in their reading assessment on the upcoming FCAT. Hopefully, this lesson can be used in one of my future classes to develop my students skills.
